We promote policies that support local self-government. All communities should be able to make decisions for themselves, without interference from the Federal government.

We believe that economic opportunity is essential for a free society. We work to promote policies that encourage entrepreneurship and job creation, and that ensure that all individuals have the opportunity to succeed.

The Power of Effective Advocacy: The Southern Policy Law Institute is a noncommercial, non-partisan, public policy educational research organization charged with researching, developing, and promoting public policy alternatives that foster individual liberties, personal responsibility, and economic opportunities in the United States.
